MOS Burger is a Japanese burger chain in Japan. The initials MOS stand for Mountain, Ocean and Sun. MOS Burger can be found almost everywhere in Asia. When I was in Tokyo, I wanted to test the burger chain for you and document my experience for the blog. I was curious to see how the MOS Burger differed from our well-known chains. You could already see differences at the ordering stage. The pictures on the menu showed unusually small burgers with ingredients like Japanese sauces, Asian spices and different kinds of fish and meat. Because the burgers are all freshly prepared there, you had to wait about 10 minutes for your order. There was also a rice burger, which, instead of bread, had pressed rice layers, which, as expected, fell apart when eaten. That's why I would personally still prefer the classic burger.
Cafe-like Premises
When I first entered the fast food restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised. Instead of a simple, sterile and boring interior decoration (as is usual in fast food restaurants), a bright room with large windows and a cafe-like interior was visible. As soon as you entered the store, you were greeted very kindly by an employee, which is very common in Japan. This also shows that MOS Burger places a high priority on friendly contact with customers.
The Ordering Process
Even if the fast food restaurant is not quite a McDonald’s, the ordering process is basically the same. You order at the counter, wait for your food while it is prepared directly behind the counter and then sit down at a table.
My Conclusion
Although my brother and my mother loved it and the premises felt pleasant and relaxed to me, I wasn't quite full in the end… However, to completely fill your stomach, you would have to order far more burgers. However, my goal was to get a rough overview of the food and the chain. I enjoyed having this experience and being able to share it with you now. I definitely recommend visiting this fast food restaurant.
